Technology Overview

The UA home page was built using widely-accepted Web standards in order to create a robust, accessible information tool for all visitors. The site utilizes modern web techniques such as HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design. Responsive design is a method where the display of the website will adapt to your screen size and allow for optimal viewing whether on desktop, tablet or phone.

51²è¹Ý encourages individuals with disabilities to participate in our many programs and activities, and is committed to ensuring that our facilities and the information, services, courses and technology we provide are inclusive and accessible in accordance with applicable law. Consistent with this commitment, the University has launched an  to provide our technology users, including those with disabilities, a functional and accessible technology experience with our Web presence and our instructional and emerging technologies.

To further this initiative, the UA administration and UA Web professionals are making progress to meet , or WCAG 2.0 AA, over the next four years. To begin this process, UA will audit existing Web materials to help Web teams determine appropriate timelines and resources needed to reach WCAG 2.0 AA. This auditing and education process begins late Fall 2015. In the coming months, more information will be shared, including availability of tools and other resources, to help UA Web teams meet these guidelines. For more information, please refer to .
